Direction de la Recherche Fondamentale, Institut Rayonnement Matière de Saclay. The CEA's fondamental Research Division (DRF) conducts scientific activities in the fields of physics, chemistry, biology and health, materials sciences, climate and environmental sciences.

Description de l'unité

The Laboratory for Molecular Chemistry and Catalysis for Energy (LCMCE) specializes in the study and synthesis of active molecular compounds, based on the chemistry of transition metals, f-elements and main group elements.

The reactivity of these organic and organometallic compounds is exploited in the activation of small molecules, such as H2, CO and CO2, and in their catalytic conversion into valuable molecules.

Job Description:

As part of a collaborative contract between Veolia, SIAAP, Collège de France and CEA on the valorization of CO2 into formic acid, methanol and methane, the consortium is developing a new electrochemical device for CO2 conversion in a Power-to-X approach that will enable the production of sustainable chemicals and fuels.

Your missions:

You will be in charge of the design, realization, and evaluation of this laboratory demonstrator, in connection with the two PhD students who are developing the catalysis technologies that will be integrated into it, as well as other members of the CEA and Collège de France teams.

 

 

 

Profil du candidat

Profile sought:

You have a PhD, MSc or equivalent (engineer school diploma) specializing in Chemistry, Process Engineering ideally followed by 1 to 2 years of professional experience.

Your rigor, interpersonal skills, analytical skills, initiative, field experience, organizational skills and writing skills are essential for success in this position.

Fluency in English is mandatory.
